Every city has its own unique characteristics and challenges when it comes to planning a pre-wedding photoshoot. Bali and Singapore, for instance, offer their own distinctive charms. Bali is renowned for its breathtaking natural beauty, while Singapore captivates with its modern city life and stunning architecture. Here are some factors to consider when planning your pre-wedding session in Bali or Singapore:

1. View & Vibes

  • Bali offers a vast array of natural landscapes, including mountains, lakes, gardens, beaches, and cliffs. You’ll also find plenty of tourist spots like resorts, villas, cafes, and traditional sites. If you love nature and want a relaxed, scenic atmosphere, Bali is the perfect choice.
  • Singapore is a modern city with numerous fascinating spots for a pre-wedding shoot. Its architectural beauty, bustling city vibes, city lights, and opportunities for street photography make it ideal for couples who prefer an urban backdrop.

2. How Many Spots?

  • Bali: Due to Bali's large size, traveling between pre-wedding locations can take hours, not to mention the potential for traffic. We generally recommend our clients to select three locations with a single concept per locations. A common schedule includes a sunrise session, an indoor midday shoot, and a sunset session. Each shoot typically lasts around 90 to 120 minutes per location.
  • Singapore: Thanks to its compact size and efficient public transportation, it's possible to cover 4-5 locations in one day with different concepts. However, keep in mind that outfit changes, makeup retouching, and hairstyle adjustments will add extra time to your schedule.

3. Budget Considerations

Budget-wise, both Bali and Singapore are fairly similar when it comes to flights, as ticket prices from major Indonesian cities are generally affordable. However, the most noticeable differences in expenses are related to accommodation and location fees.

  • Accommodation:
  • In Bali, you can find comfortable hotels for around 500,000 IDR per night.
  • In Singapore, a hotel with similar amenities will cost around 1.5 to 2 million IDR per night.
  • Location Fees:
  • In Bali, most pre-wedding locations require permits and entrance fees, ranging from 200,000 IDR to 5 million IDR depending on the site.
  • In Singapore, out of the 19 recommended locations listed in our blog, only 3 places require a paid permit for photoshoots, making it a more budget-friendly option for photography.
